About

The Canada Brief tells the day's news from Canada and the world in a few images and a few sentences. One edition a day, published in the early afternoon: the essentials in under a minute per topic.

How we work

  • Each story draws on several articles published by the Canadian and international press. We do not publish information that does not appear in them.
  • We write short: one idea per page, facts, no opinion.
  • The editor reads every story before it is published and is responsible for it.
  • A mistake? Write to us: we correct it and say so.
  • Photos come from free image banks, and their author is credited. The illustrations are our own.

Cookies

  • The Canada Brief shows no advertising on the site. Google Analytics and the Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram) set cookies only if you accept them, to measure our audience and our ads on those networks; you can change your mind at any time.
  • The tcb_session cookie is only set when you like a story or sign in: a randomly generated identifier that expires after 30 days without a visit, or one year if you are signed in.
