The FTC and 20 states sue Dollar General over deceptive pricing

The US Federal Trade Commission says the chain charged customers more at the register than the prices shown on shelves and in advertisements. The complaint was filed in federal court in Tennessee.

The complaint cites "extensive corporate knowledge of the problem" and says the chain failed to fix it. The company did not immediately comment.
