Hackers drain traders' wallets on Polymarket, pausing international trading

A UK-based third-party vendor was breached, not Polymarket's website, the company said. UK law enforcement has been notified, and trading has resumed after a pause of several hours.

Blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps said about 700 users appeared affected, with roughly US$2.7 million stolen. Polymarket said it will refund affected traders.

Background

Polymarket US, the regulated platform for people in the United States, was not affected. A June 2026 breach cost traders more than US$2 million.
