Trump administration moves again to halt the Revolution Wind farm
The U.S. Justice Department filed a motion arguing the Biden administration erred in approving Ørsted's 704-megawatt wind farm off Rhode Island in August 2023. It cites harm to fishing, scientific research and scenery, and asks the court to send the project back for reconsideration.

65 turbines installed
All 65 turbines are installed, and the project, which already delivers electricity in New England, is due to start full commercial operation later this year.
Background
Courts overturned two earlier stop-work orders against the project. The move comes weeks after the president signalled he would drop his opposition to wind to win Democratic support for a permitting bill.

Already powering New England
The Justice Department says the project will harm the environment and historic sites, while the Sierra Club says it already produces affordable, reliable electricity for New England.
