Organigram agrees to buy Aurora Cannabis in a $561-million deal

Aurora shareholders can take $7.80 a share in cash, 5.8626 Organigram shares per share, or a mix of the two.

The friendly deal follows a hostile offer from US-based Curaleaf that Aurora rebuffed earlier this year.

Organigram's CEO, James Yamanaka, called the deal a defining step toward building a global cannabis leader.
