Calley Means resigns as a top adviser to U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Means, a leading voice of the Make America Healthy Again movement, said Thursday he leaves with “tremendous respect” for Donald Trump and Kennedy. He gave no reason.

According to reports, he grew frustrated by slow progress on movement goals such as defining ultraprocessed foods.

Kennedy had promised a first government definition of ultraprocessed food in April, but the acting FDA commissioner said then that defining it is “really hard”.

“This movement is in the first inning and just getting started.”
