Lula and Bolsonaro focus on policy in their final debate before Brazil's run-off
The two candidates questioned each other on the economy, infrastructure and regional development on Friday, two days before the vote. The debate was calmer than their first face-off but still had personal attacks.
“I’ll have the same job here [as Milei in Argentina] because you’re leaving the country bankrupt.”
— Flávio Bolsonaro, presidential candidate
Bolsonaro called Lula “Nine Fingers”, a nickname used by his supporters, and gave an apology when Lula demanded one. Lula called Bolsonaro a vigilante, over allegations of ties to paramilitary groups in Rio de Janeiro.
