Shigeru Miyamoto to receive Japan's Order of Culture

The Emperor of Japan will present the award at a ceremony on Culture Day, Nov 3.
Miyamoto, 73, is the first video game developer to receive the honour, one of eight recipients this year. He created Mario and helped shape The Legend of Zelda.
This award is the result of working together with a great number of people, so I will accept it on their behalf.
