Pakistan urges Afghanistan to act against armed groups

Islamabad wants the Taliban government to take verifiable steps against groups it says operate from Afghan soil, including the Pakistani Taliban and the Balochistan Liberation Army.

Militant attacks in Pakistan since January

2,800 attacks

Pakistani authorities say more than 2,800 militant attacks since January have killed 3,000 people.

Kabul denies it, saying it has no interest in destabilizing Pakistan and is not responsible for insecurity there.
