Mephedrone he is accused of holding

0.38 grams

Dmitry Morozov was detained on Oct 2 and jailed pending trial on a charge of possessing 0.38 grams of mephedrone. He denies the charge.

His partner, Daria Bagina, says he was beaten and given electric shocks during the arrest, and that officers tried to force a confession that he funded Ukraine and banned groups.

Background

Morozov, a democratic socialist from Udmurtia, had sought to hold a rally against alleged election fraud in Izhevsk. People close to him call the case political.
