Bulgaria's presidential vote goes to a run-off on Nov 1

Exit polls put President Iliana Iotova at 35 to 36.5 per cent and former caretaker prime minister Andrey Gyurov at 31 to 33.5 per cent.

Turnout at 8 p.m.

22.2 % of registered voters

Turnout was 22.2 per cent at 8 p.m. local time, and none of the 27 candidates passed the 50 per cent needed to win outright.
