France avoids a repeat of looting at protests after deploying 70,000 security officials

The Interior Ministry reported 1,314 arrests by Sunday morning, about half the number of the previous weekend.
About 110,000 people marched near Paris and 300,000 across France on Saturday, according to the Interior Ministry. The CGT union put the figure at 800,000.
