Police arrest 128 people after a night of unrest and looting in Barcelona

Young people, many in black and hoods, clashed with police and looted shops around the Plaça de Catalunya on Saturday. Fifteen officers were injured.

Arrested people who were minors

73 minors 55 adults

Catalan police say 73 of those arrested were minors, and only two had prior criminal records. The rally had spread on social media and was not declared to authorities.

Barcelona's mayor said the city will join legal proceedings, and Catalonia's president said the violence has no place in Catalonia.
