The NFL announced Monday that Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl half-time show on Feb 14.
The NFL did not say whether he will be the only headliner. His company, Roc Nation, produces the show, but he had never performed in it.
"I had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him."
— NFL commissioner Roger Goodell

The announcement came after two shows at the Los Angeles stadium that will host the game, on a tour for the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt.
