UN commission says Israel continued to commit genocide in Gaza after the ceasefire

Israeli authorities kept committing “genocidal acts with the genocidal intent to destroy, in whole or in part, the Palestinians in Gaza”.

60 % of Gaza, at least

The commission said the “Yellow Line”, presented as a temporary ceasefire line, has become a de facto border. It said Israeli-controlled areas have expanded to at least 60 per cent of Gaza.

2008 to Oct 6, 2023

6 killed

Oct 7, 2023 to Sep 30, 2026

254 killed

The commission said air strikes killed 254 Palestinians in the West Bank between Oct 7, 2023 and Sep 30, 2026, against six from 2008 to Oct 6, 2023. It also faulted the Palestinian Authority for targeting Palestinians who voice dissent.

Israel's mission in Geneva called the report part of a “misinformation campaign”, and its foreign ministry called it “a propaganda document detached from reality”. Ambassador Daniel Meron said such efforts undermine Israel's legitimacy and its right to defend itself.
