Indonesia cuts gas exports to Singapore to power its own grid

Gas diverted from Singapore

31 million standard cubic feet a day

Indonesia began diverting 31 million standard cubic feet of gas a day from Singapore to domestic electricity on Saturday, its upstream regulator said.

The gas goes to power generation in Batam, Bintan and Sumatra, after a series of outages that included a 16-hour blackout on Batam last week.
