Drones hit the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in Russia

Telegram monitoring channels report a fire at the refinery in Novokuibyshevsk, in Russia's Samara region, after a drone attack on Oct 30. Residents reported explosions and air defence fire, and the regional airport was closed.

Refining capacity

8.8 million tonnes of oil a year

The plant belongs to the Rosneft group and can process about 8.8 million tonnes of oil a year. The reports say it makes jet fuel for the Russian air force.
