Lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial defends his vote to convict

The defence's argument

postpartum psychosis

Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother, did not dispute killing her three children; her defence argued she suffered from postpartum psychosis. Her trial ended in a mistrial in September.

11 jurors

Not criminally responsible

1 juror

Guilty

Eleven of the 12 jurors found her not criminally responsible because of mental illness, while one, Michael Desronvil, voted to convict.

"I had a lot of evidence to back up my claim," Desronvil said in a television interview on Wednesday, denying other jurors' claims that he had reasonable doubt.

What's next

Clancy's lawyer, Kevin Reddington, has asked the judge for an inquiry into the juror. A hearing on that request was postponed after Desronvil hired a lawyer.
