Greece receives its second FDI frigate, HS Nearchos

France's Naval Group delivered HS Nearchos to the Hellenic Navy in Lorient on Oct 30, in the presence of Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias and French Armed Forces Minister Catherine Vautrin.

The first, Kimon, was delivered in December 2025, and the third, HS Formion, is planned by the end of 2026.

Nearchos differs from Kimon by its enhanced combat capabilities. More than 75 Greek companies work on Naval Group's FDI frigate and submarine programmes.
