White House press secretary admits she never passed the bar exam
Katie Zacharia, named press secretary by President Donald Trump, said Thursday she took the bar exam in California but did not pass, and never took it again. She has called herself a lawyer, and Trump described her as an attorney.
I was very careful how I executed this. I never came across as someone who was an attorney at law.

In the United States, a law degree is not a licence to practise law: that takes passing the bar exam. Zacharia graduated from Pepperdine University's law school in California.

A watchdog group, Campaign for Accountability, asked the State Bar of California on Wednesday to investigate. White House communications director Steven Cheung said she is uniquely qualified for the job.
