Greece signs deal for up to six Embraer KC-390 aircraft

The deal covers three KC-390 Millennium aircraft with options for three more, Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias said. First delivery is set for next year.

The plane would give the Hellenic Air Force its first jet transport and its first aerial refuelling tanker. Greece will buy through a government-to-government agreement with Portugal.

Embraer expects to raise production of the aircraft to 10 a year by the end of the decade. Greece is its seventh European customer.
