India urges the US to investigate an alleged plot against a Hindu temple

Police in Illinois arrested Alexandros Paporakis, 19, of Palatine, on Oct 11 over an alleged plan for a mass shooting at a Hindu place of worship in the Aurora area. He faces charges of making a terrorist threat and unlawful possession of weapons.

A search of his home turned up a rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and a vest bearing white supremacist imagery, investigators said.

Police believe he may have planned to attack a Hindu place of worship in Aurora, but the intended target has not been confirmed.
