The bird was not for sale
The store says the wooden bird, called Molly, is fixed to its wall and not for sale. It says staff offered her an identical bird for US$15,000, or another one for US$2,000.
“Imagine our surprise when our small local business was suddenly attacked by eight million people who have never visited our store.”

Adam Rubin, one of the store's partners, says it has received hateful messages and reviews since her post, and someone showed up at the shop. Clarkson's representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
