Wiles has his confidence
Trump has begun asking allies and donors about the job performance of his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, according to reports. He called one such report “TOTAL FAKE NEWS” and said Wiles had his “COMPLETE confidence”.
Why it matters
Corruption in government has passed the economy as voters’ top concern, a poll released this week found. Polls suggest the Republicans are likely to lose the House in the Nov 3 elections, and could lose the Senate.
On Thursday, Trump also reversed a Pentagon plan to live-stream the execution by firing squad of a convicted mass shooter.
