Three of the new cases are health workers who treated the country's first patient, and the fourth is a male relative of that patient, the health ministry said on Oct 17.

Background

The ministry said 128 of 130 listed contacts have been traced and quarantined, and the risk to the public remains low with no evidence of community transmission.

Bundibugyo

The cases are of the Bundibugyo strain, which has no approved vaccine or treatment, and the outbreak in Congo has caused more than 9,000 cases and more than 4,000 deaths.
