Gangs attacked the soldiers' armoured vehicle with explosives on Oct 18 in Croix-des-Bouquets, near Port-au-Prince, and the four men escaped the burning vehicle.
The four aviation technicians, part of the UN-backed Gang Suppression Force, have not been located, and helicopters sent to find them came under fire.
“We believe the four men survived, but we still have no news of them,” the US ambassador to the UN told the Security Council.
