A polling firm admits most of its data was fabricated ahead of the U.S. midterms
Wedgewood Polling said Tuesday that the vast majority of its data was made up, calling it an “experimental project to demonstrate the vulnerabilities” of political polling.

A major poll tracker had included 15 Wedgewood surveys released between June and October. All have now been removed.
Michigan Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow said a Wedgewood poll showed her in single digits and “donations dried up” before she suspended her campaign in July.
