Democrats and a California voter sue over federal election probes
Congressional Democrats, the Nevada State Democratic Party and a naturalized citizen say the probes are a pretext to seize control over elections. A federal judge has since ordered Homeland Security to halt its operations in nine states.

The lawsuit says the administration's list of 20,000 "likely noncitizens" in California has proven inaccurate. A Homeland Security filing noted discrepancies in about 189 of the records.
