WhatsApp starts testing scheduled messages on iPhone
Some iOS beta testers can press and hold the send button to pick a date and time, from 10 minutes to two weeks ahead. It works in individual chats and in groups.
What can be scheduled
- Text messages
- Links
- Photos
- Videos
Text messages, links, photos and videos can be scheduled, though only one photo or video at a time.
Good to know
Messages send even if the phone is offline, stay end-to-end encrypted, and can be deleted before delivery without notifying the recipient.
What we know
- Android beta testers got it earlier this month
- iPhone testers get it through TestFlight
Not yet
- No public release date yet
WhatsApp has not said when everyone will get the feature.
