Anthropic launches Claude Duet, an AI assistant that keeps working while users are away
What Duet does
- Checks email and calendar
- Drafts replies
- Chases unpaid invoices
- Sends a morning briefing
Duet checks email and calendars, drafts replies and follows up on unfinished work, such as chasing unpaid invoices. Anthropic announced it on Oct 21 as a research preview for professionals and small-business owners.
Muse users in six weeks
10M+ users in the US and Canada
Meta launched a similar assistant, Muse, on Sep 8, and OpenAI followed with Dots on Sep 29. Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said Muse drew more than 10 million users in the US and Canada within six weeks.
What we know
- Shares quota with Claude chats
- Checks accounts every few hours
Not yet
- Price after the preview
- Team and Enterprise access
Duet shares its usage quota with regular Claude chats, so background checks use it up, and it checks accounts only every few hours. Access for Team and Enterprise customers is not yet open, and the price after the preview is not announced.
