ANA says a hack leaked data on 37,800 customers
The breach hit Amadeus IT Group, a Spain-based contractor for ANA's passenger service system. Amadeus detected the unauthorized access on Sep 24, ANA said.
What leaked
- Names
- Reservation numbers
- Travel dates and flight segments
- Passport numbers and nationalities (1,700 customers)
Affected customers booked ANA flights between Aug 10, 2023, and Sep 23, 2026. No credit card information or passwords were compromised.
Muji app records possibly leaked
27.26 million
Muji's operator said up to 27.26 million customer records may have been leaked after unauthorized access to its app, though names and credit card information were not exposed.
Japan Airlines, which also uses Amadeus, has reported a suspected leak. Japan's Foreign Ministry said about 3,600 records, 900 of them belonging to people outside the ministry, may have been compromised.
