Flock cameras stay up after Minnesota cities cancel contracts

Plymouth, Minnesota's city council voted in September to end its contract with Flock Safety. The cameras stayed up for over a month with no acknowledgment, so the police chief had staff disconnect their power cords.

In Dayton, Minnesota, Flock said removal could take up to 60 days, then reconnected two cameras without authorization after local police asked it not to complete the work order.

In Illinois, Flock refused to take down cameras and uncovered cameras at Elgin Community College after the school sought to cancel its contract. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
