DeepSeek unveils a 'Super-agent' that works without waiting for prompts

The Chinese AI company's Harness team described the design on Oct 31: an agent that keeps context across sessions and runs several complex tasks at once.

What the internal agent does

  • Reproducing and fixing bugs
  • Responding to code reviews
  • Improving the Harness system

DeepSeek says an internal Super-agent is already running, reproducing and fixing bugs, responding to code reviews and improving the Harness system itself.

Steps in on its own

The prototype watches developer chats and suggests fixes unprompted, putting DeepSeek in closer competition with Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex.
