Apple said on Oct 31 that the first Apple Intelligence features will reach users in China with iOS 27.3 in December, with testing in a developer beta from Wednesday.
What arrives first
- Writing tools
- Photo clean-up and natural-language search
- Mail and notification summaries
- Live translation in messages and calls
The first features include writing tools, photo clean-up and search, mail and notification summaries, and live translation in messages and calls.
Apple confirmed a partnership with Alibaba, whose Qwen model will help Siri, writing tools and visual intelligence understand text and images.
The features work on the iPhone 16 and later, the iPhone Duo, iPhone Air and iPhone 15 Pro, with the device set to simplified Chinese or English.
