China's Communist Party pledges tougher action against corruption

The party's Central Committee adopted a resolution on strict self-governance on Oct 29. It sets out more than 200 measures.

New targets

• Proxies, or "white gloves"
• Revolving door after retirement
• Virtual currencies and blockchain

The resolution targets hidden forms of graft, including proxies, officials who join business after retiring, and corruption involving virtual currencies and blockchain.
