WhatsApp now lets people join a call without an account

People per call, guests included

32 people

A guest opens a call link in a computer browser, types a name and joins once the host admits them, in calls of up to 32 people.

Calls with guests stay end-to-end encrypted, free and without a time limit, and guests cannot see other callers' phone numbers or message them.

What's next

WhatsApp plans to add call links to Google Calendar and Outlook later this year.

How to start a guest call

To start one, open the Calls tab, tap “+”, create a call link and send it; only people with a WhatsApp account can create a link.
