Google to turn off Search in schools that reject its AI tools

Google said Tuesday that AI tools and Search will be off for K-12 student accounts until school administrators turn them on.

“Search and AI are deeply integrated,” said Chris Phillips, Google's vice-president for education, so schools that restrict AI will lose Search.
