- The price of the deal
- When it closes
The Canadian AI company has signed a letter of intent to buy Aisle, which uses AI to find and help fix security flaws in software. Cohere did not disclose the value of the deal.
Aisle's founders at Cohere
- Ondrej Vlcek: head of Cohere Cyber
- Jaya Baloo: chief information security officer
- Stanislav Fort: AI security research
Aisle's three co-founders would take senior roles at Cohere, including Ondrej Vlcek, a former Avast chief executive, who would lead a new unit called Cohere Cyber.
And us?
Why it matters
Cohere pitches itself to governments and businesses that want control over their data and are wary of relying on US tech giants or Chinese AI developers. The deal follows its agreement in September to combine with Germany's Aleph Alpha.
There's a gap today, and we want to work to close that.
— Aidan Gomez, Cohere CEO
