Indonesia's haze: Singapore names seven companies it blames for the fires
Singapore's National Environment Agency traced fires on the companies' land in Sumatra on Oct 8 and Oct 9, using satellite images and weather data.
What the notices require
- Deploy firefighters on their land
- Stop or refrain from any burning
- Submit a plan to put out the fires
- Prevent a recurrence
Notices under Singapore's Transboundary Haze Pollution Act order them to fight the fires, stop any burning and submit plans to prevent a repeat, Environment Minister Grace Fu said.
