Meta drops terms that seemed to let it train AI on business websites

Meta's updated commercial terms said it could use content from a business account's domains, web pages or URLs to train and improve its products. Legal experts called it a remarkable provision that could let Meta scrape any publisher with a Meta business account.

“We’ve heard you and want to clarify: the crawling terms we consolidated only applied to our ads and business products,” Meta said as it removed the provision.
