YouTube, Meta, X and TikTok all rejected ads for the film last month. YouTube and Meta later allowed them, while X, which Musk owns, and TikTok still refuse.

Background

TikTok's US operations are partly owned by Larry Ellison, who appears in the film in a text message offering to help Musk fund his Twitter purchase.

The film opened in four theatres last weekend and is now rolling out more widely. It is due to stream on HBO next year.
