Background

The RTX Spark N1X is the consumer name of Nvidia's GB10, a chip built with MediaTek and already sold in Linux systems for about a year. The Surface Laptop Ultra is the first Microsoft device powered by an Nvidia chip.

Shared memory, at most

128 GB

The chip pairs 20 Arm processor cores with Blackwell graphics and supports up to 128GB of shared memory.

— Jensen Huang, Nvidia CEO

About half a dozen other laptops and a Microsoft mini-PC launched on the chip this week, many aimed at developers and content creators.
