Anthropic commits 5 per cent of its shares to a public benefit fund

Extra shares for every 50% rise in value

2 %

The fund can grow: the AI company may add another 2 per cent of its shares for every 50 per cent rise in its value.

Anthropic, which has already committed $200 million to study AI's effect on jobs, says the money could go to large donations to nonprofits or direct payments to specific populations.

Given the pace of AI progress, bolder approaches may be needed. The Fund will have the versatility to pursue them.
