EA shuts down BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect

Electronic Arts is closing BioWare and ending early development of the next Mass Effect game. For more than 30 years, the studio made role-playing games such as Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
Jobs cut, according to reports
400 jobs
About 400 jobs are being cut, according to reports. The changes follow EA going private in a US$55 billion deal that closed in August.
BioWare is a legendary studio that helped define the role-playing genre, and we do not take this decision lightly.
