A Google Cloud outage disrupts online banking in the U.K.

The outage began on Tuesday just after 2 a.m. ET, or 6:08 a.m. GMT, and was centred on London.

• Revolut

Lloyds, Halifax, HSBC and Revolut were among the U.K. banks that reported disruptions to their online services.

The impact can reach beyond the U.K. when apps in other countries rely on London-based infrastructure. Outages also appeared elsewhere in Europe, but it is unclear whether they are linked.
