3,897 customers exposed

India's largest bank found 3,897 customer records with personal information in a dataset of about 375,000 records.

What was exposed

• Names and gender
• Registered mobile numbers
• Dates of birth
• Email and home addresses
• Loan enquiry records

The exposed data includes names, phone numbers, birth dates and addresses, and the bank says core banking is not affected.

The bank has hired an independent cybersecurity agency to investigate the source and extent of the exposure.
