Microsoft steps back from a flagship U.K. AI data centre
According to reports, Microsoft will no longer be part of a multibillion-dollar data centre planned by Nscale in Loughton, England.
The power problem
Grid operators told Nscale the power the site needs will not be available until 2030, and reports link the withdrawal to that.
Nscale says it remains committed to the project and is exploring other power sources. Microsoft was the only company that had publicly committed to use it.
