Fifty-six fellows of the Royal Society of Canada signed an open letter calling for six amendments to the Building Canada Strong Act. They back faster project reviews but want several clauses changed or scrapped.

The bill sits with a special House committee where 11 of 12 members have already voted for it, and witnesses the Liberals did not pick get eight hours. The environment minister's office says the bill will not compromise environmental standards.
