Toronto's mayoral race is too close to call before Monday's vote

49%

A Liaison Strategies poll puts Brad Bradford at 49 per cent and Olivia Chow at 47 per cent among decided and leaning voters.

A Pollara poll commissioned by the city workers' union CUPE Local 416 has Chow ahead 55 to 44 per cent among decided voters. The polling firms say there is no clear favourite.

Why it narrowed

Chow's lead of more than 10 points at the start of the campaign faded after Chris Alexander, a former Conservative minister, dropped out on Oct 6, says a McMaster University political scientist.
