Clocks in Manitoba will not fall back on Sunday, Nov 1, after the province announced last month it would keep permanent daylight time, six weeks before the change.
What we know
- Connected devices should adjust on their own
- Time zone database already updated
Not yet
- Whether older or offline systems have the update
Internet-connected devices should adjust on their own, a University of Manitoba computer scientist said, but older or offline systems may not have the update.
“Every day we’re figuring out a new thing that could change.”
— Tony Siwicki, Winnipeg restaurant owner
What to do
The Winnipeg Airports Authority expects no disruptions, but airlines set flight itineraries, so passengers with questions about flights on or after Nov 1 should contact their airline.
